Locked Mind....

Locked in my mind
All the thoughts
Struggling to come out
The moment they are in

Me in vain… all the time
Trying to pacify them
Trying to streamline them
Trying to make them amenable

Never realize that
There is no synchronization
Between what I feel
And what I do

Heart is a fool… imagines
Mind is a tool… controls
Imagination…becomes thought
Mind manages imagination

All through life……
Tug of war between these two

None loses …none wins

Life sustains…with locked mind

Thoughts locked in our minds... so true!

That old voice in our minds can give us a lot of trouble! I get tired of the tug of war and put down the rope - smiles! Totally relate to this poem - especially "mind is a fool!"

can feel the locked up/ struggling in your words
profound piece
Yes, those words can remain bottled up inside until they burst forth like a well-shaken bottle of champagne. I've had that feeling, too, and you describe it so well.

I have not read you before, so I'm glad I found you at Poets United.

Hope I'm not being too presumptuous, but I think your poem about be much stronger if you took out the exclamation points... sort of like writing in all caps, frenetic. I offer this in love and appreciation for good writing, believe me. Peace, Amy
How well you demonstrate that tug of war.

That sounds a bit like the overall 'human condition'.
