Now no stops along the away…

Life is never a straight road
Life is never a smooth ride
Some bumps here and there
Some slumps now and then

Looking back at the journey of life
So many distractions...
So many detours…
I wonder why I took those steps
I wonder why I choose those lanes

But age makes me realize
I wouldn’t have been what I am
If I haven’t travelled all those tough routes
Life wouldn’t have been so soothing
If I wouldn’t have taken all those rough notes

Taking everything along the stride
I just go on….
Now no matter matters to me
Now no stops along the away…
Life just moves on…
For that final stop…. which will take me atop!

Very reflective and also cheerful about how the stops and detours add up to be the main road and even lead on to the last stop. I wish you many more happy stops and turns before the one atop.
