What if ….A HEART IS BROKEN?
Some time back I read a story ….
In a seminar, an assumingly intelligent fellow compares a 500 Rupee note with a person’s value.
First he displays a fresh note, then he crumples it with his hands and then he grinds it into the floor with his shoe.
Each time he will ask the audience "Who would like to have this 500 Rupee note?". At each stage there will be people who want to grab the note, though the number decreases.
So, finally he concludes …..
“No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth Rupee 500/-. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value”.
It looks so strange when I first read the story…
First of all how one can compare a lifeless physical entity like a 500 Rupee note with a person who is alive with all his senses.
Even one attempt such thing, how can one forget that, the note has been subjected to all kind of PHYSICAL ABUSE ONLY.
Yah.. I too agree completely that any kind of physical ailment/ injury/ handicap etc will never decrease a person’s value.
It’s his CHARACTER which DETERMINES what kind of a person he is and HOW VALUABLE HE IS.
It definitely matters….. what has happened or what will happen.
The decisions you make reflect your personality…..
And the way you chose to face the circumstances (whatever) defines your integrity.
What if ….a person’s thoughts are crumpled…. his behaviour is dropped…... his actions have become dirty….
Still do you think he will retain the same value?
I am sure he becomes worthless.
We have to remember …
Even if the note is cut into pieces it can be pasted.
And more over, we can exchange it for A NEW NOTE…..
