THE FORBIDDEN TREASURE.....

You make the heart float

You make the thoughts sink

You bring back the moments

You bring back the memories

You make the time stand still

In fact you are time immortal

I can hold you close to my heart

I can keep you in secret closet

I can read you to my heart's content

I can variably interpret the content

You can be passed on to next generation

You can be testimony to past generation

You make the history...you keep the history

With your n-number of words....

You build the world...

The world that is without boundaries

You travel to reach the hearts

You reach to please the hearts

I piety the present generation

Who just know texting and mail

I just want to tell them...

At least write once in your life time

Let us all preserve the art of letter writing

Let us all treasure the flair of hand writing

Letters really make time stand still and are true treasures..

So true... it seems as if handwritten letters are a thing of the past, but they are so much more personal (I think).

I agree with you that letters are precious in a way emails will never be and yet we cannot change the course of events. They are indeed a thing of the past.

So very true, PT. It really is nice to have those handwritten notes - or even the typewritten notes sent with stamps - that traveled over the miles to reach us. Texts and emails can / will disappear in a POOF. The handwritten word can be a treasure for a long time to come.

There is a different feeling when writing pen or pencil on paper. It should always be available to experience.

there is something special in writing things down, we live in a world of instants, perhaps we need to treasure time and words.

Letters really do make time stand still in many ways. I had not thought of that. Words become treasure when they are written down.

A treasure trove indeed! Nothing like a handwritten letter from someone to make us think we are really special!

Ah letters... My parents have told me a thousand times about the letters they used to write to each other when they were young. I wish I could have this experience too, instead of having Facebook posts or Whatsapp messages... It's just so much more romantic! So I agree with you, PT! And I love the way you wrote your poem, I unconsciously read it as if it was a song.

The art of letter writing has told little hidden pieces of history we would never had told.

May it live again.
